IAS Award for Excellence in Publications by a Young Member of the Society

The IAS presents a triennial Award for Excellence in publications by a younger member of the Society, to provide recognition to outstanding, published research carried out by young scientists or engineers in the area of adsorption. The award consists of $2,000, and a certificate citing the accomplishments of the recipient. The award will be presented at the triennial International Conference on the Fundamentals of Adsorption (FOA) of the IAS, where the award winner will be given the opportunity to present their work.

The closing date for nominations is January 1st of the year of an FOA conference, for awards given at that FOA conference. Nominees for the award must not have reached the age of 35 before the three-year period prior to the closing date and nominations must be based only on work published before the nominee has reached age 35. No one can submit no more than one nomination; self-nominations are excluded. The nomination package will include CV and list of publications and patents of the candidate, as well as a one page supporting statement addressing the selection criteria, and the names (with contact details) of two possible references. Nominations must be submitted (by email to the IAS President) by January 1st in the year of the next FOA conference.
