The International Adsorption Society (IAS) has established a fund to support international adsorption-related activities, including conferences, summer schools, workshops, and other relevant events.
Application Process
- Submission Timeline: Applications for support may be received up to two (2) years in advance of the event.
- Review Principle: Ideally, an application for sponsorship should be submitted 2 years in advance. If funds remain unallotted, more ad hoc applications may be considered. Support is available only for events organized by not-for-profit parties
Authority and Distribution
- Distributing Body: The authority to distribute the funds in an equitable manner will be granted to the IAS officers (Past, Present, and Future President + Editor + Secretary), in consultation with the Treasurer. The IAS President will chair these discussions.
Obligations of Event Organizers (In Return for Support)
Organizers who receive financial support will be requested to provide the following benefits and recognition to the IAS:
- Request special registration benefits for IAS members.
- Acknowledge the IAS on the event’s website and/or at the event itself.
- Report back to IAS how funds were used.
Additional IAS Support
- Promotion: The IAS can cross-list events on its website and social media channels.
- Broadcasting: The IAS can offer its YouTube channel to broadcast event proceedings and host recordings on its social media channels.
